Fundraising
January 2012
Dear Concord Police Supporter,
On behalf of the Concord Police Association, I would like to graciously thank you for your generous donation. Because of your generosity, we are able to continue to support the many organizations and services in need in our Concord Community.
Since 1954, our Association has been providing help to organizations that benefit adults and children in the Concord Community. Some of these organizations include Boy and Girl Scouting Troops, Black Families of Contra Costa County, New Connections, Concord Police Explorer Post # 422, local High School sports, Concord Senior Center, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Hospice to name a few. We are also proud to sponsor and organize our annual Golf Tournament which benefits Special Olympics and PAL (Police Activities League) and with the help of volunteers donating countless hours, our annual "Toys for Tots" and "Monumental Toy Drive" program, assisting children in need during the holidays.
We genuinely appreciate your thoughtfulness and always welcome your involvement in our efforts.
Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Joe Higby

Our donations for the 2011 year:
The Concord Police Association is a non-profit organization that represents over 150 men and women Police Officers of the Concord Police Department. We have been proudly serving the citizens of the City of Concord and surrounding communities since 1954. The CPA has dedicated themselves to operating one of the leading Law Enforcement Training Centers in Contra Costa County and helping local organizations that benefit adult and children groups in the community. At two of the monthly meetings in 2011, the CPA was proud to donate proceeds from 2 of our community fundraiser events. Our Stars & Stripes 5K benefited the United Mt. Diablo Sports Foundation & the Mt. Diablo Music Education Foundation. From our Golf Classic, donations were made to the Special Olympics of Northern California, First Tee of Contra Costa and the Contra Costa Youth Council’s “Read to Live Program”.
